Thanks to the folks at Visa and Bank of America, if you own a virtual reality headset like the Google Cardboard, you will be able to enjoy a practice session with the New England Patriots in virtual reality. Ever wanted to see a 300-pound human run toward you at full speed? This will be done through the immersive, innovative, and exceptionally futuristic technology that is virtual reality.
Both iOS and Android users with a Cardboard viewer can get an up-close view of the team going through a number of fast-paced drills, and see what the life an an elite National Football League team is like.
You’re taken into the training facility, onto the field and into the locker room with this experience. Now if you don’t have a virtual reality headset, fret not because the 360-degree video was uploaded onto YouTube. This is the tech giant’s second Cardboard giveaway this fall, as Google gave away more than one million examples of the budget-priced VR device, courtesy of the New York Times. Stand on the field as the Patriots go at it on the practice field. If there’s a time for rival teams to buy a ticket in the Patriots’ section, it’s now. The troika have also rolled out a 360 degree video so that the viewers will get a feeling of what the experience would eventually be like.
