Trevor Noah Attempts to Make the Case That Trump Is Very Presidential
Trevor Noah may still be settling into his seat on The Daily Show but he’s already fired shots at President Jacob Zuma.
The new host then jumped straight into Christie’s comments at the GOP debate about how non-Americans shouldn’t overstay their visas after coming to the U.S. “But I don’t learn about the bio-metics”.
When Noah pointed out to Christie that his plan is estimated to cost $7 billion to overhaul the system at the airports, Christie had a cost-comparison.
“It’s a lot less expensive than a 2 thousand mile wall across the entire southern border, how ’bout that?”
According to Noah, however, Trump is perfectly presidential – though only in an African context.
Watch the clip below to see Christie discuss social security, his fear of government, and touching President Obama.
“The biggest obstacle you face right now is getting those poll numbers up, what is your plan to get those numbers up?”
On Thursday’s Daily Show, the host compared clips of Trump to those of various African leaders to highlight the similarities of selected quotes.
The joke was just one of a few Christie and Noah traded during the governor’s first appearance on “The Daily Show” since New Jersey native Jon Stewart handed off the reins.
