Trevor Noah slams Ted Cruz over San Bernardino shooting response
Friday’s event will be the second time Cruz has made an announcement regarding the Second Amendment in Iowa just days after a mass shooting.
On Thursday’s Daily Show, Trevor Noah took a long, hard look at Sen.
Unfortunately, the goal of both President Obama and Hillary Clinton, is to consistently-at every turn-to look to weaken the constitutional rights of American citizens.
The FBI has said it’s investigating several possible motives, including workplace violence and terrorism. Obama has consistently been the spokesperson on these common tragedies – which clearly won’t stop until gun legislation changes – and due to the frequency of these attacks, his presidency has become something of an act of public mourning, compounded by the fact that such attacks somehow make gun activists even more zealous. Ted Cruz in particular. Back in October, Noah shared some heartfelt words for the victims of the mass shooting in Oregon. “He has had to do this for six years, speaking in the aftermath of mass shootings”. “You can really see the toll it has taken on him”, said Noah with photos of Obama as he’s aged from 2009 to 2015. “It’s an appropriate conversation to have in the wake of this shooting with liberals coming right out of the gate calling for more gun control and policies that would dilute our 2nd Amendment rights”. “I’ve got to say, I think FDR and JFK and Ronald Reagan are all spinning in their graves”. “But at least we’ve found the answer to the amount of pressure under which black does crack”.
“Instead of throwing pro-gun stuff around to rally the base, saying what they want to hear, this is a time for him to be very thoughtful”, Robinson, who also serves as the editor of the blog The Iowa Republican, told ABC.
“Fourteen people just lost their lives in a shooting, and Ted Cruz’s first thought is: ‘Oh, that reminds me – got to send out my invites to my gun party!'” Noah said.
Noah concluded, “that seems like something you’d only do if you were an asshole”.
