Troll: The Rise of Harry Potter, Jr
For those not familiar with the movie, it stared a character names Harry Potter Jr. that featured magic, wizards, and a villain possessing someone close to him.
That’s all fine and good, but we can’t imagine that Warner Bros. South Carolina Films hopes to debut the television series sometime next year.
The animated feature, which will “revisit the world of the wizardry” (ahem) from the original film, is targeted for release in 2017. There are even discussions being made with Harbin ‘Window to Eurasia’ Theme of Northern China on a possible Troll themed venue and branding program.
“We are already in pre-production”.
“I feel that we are what we are really because of her bravery”, Rowling says in the clip. He and co-producer Peter Davy are planning a series of animated sequels in addition to the TV show.
This smells of a lawsuit ready situation, and it appears that no magic will be able to help it. Still, the original Troll films (more Troll 2) have indeed reached cult status, and there are many who think that Troll could make for a great animated film. The filmmakers say that they didn’t prosecute the matter when Rowling first published her books because of “family reasons.”
Almost three decades after its original release, the 1986 cult classic “Troll” is spawning an animated film and television titled – at least until Warner Bros. and J.K. Rowling spring into action – “Troll: The Rise of Harry Potter Jr”. Troll: The Movie LLC is not affiliated with J.K. Rowling or Warner Bros nor has this motion picture been endorsed or authorized by J.K. Rowling or Warner Bros. It is up to Harry Potter, Jr. and his witch accomplice to save the planet from being taken over by the troll wizard.
