Truck Buyers Are Loyal, Here’s The Proof — Toyota Tacoma
While Toyota is still sticking to the existing platform, few tweaks dramatically improve the outlook and the functionality of the pickup truck.
For starters, the sheet metal is changed, with the creases and beltline showing that Toyota is approaching the 2016 Tacoma in more high-lift ground clearance.
The 2016 Toyota Tacoma will become available with a choice of two engines.
The Tacoma 4×4 range be priced from $25,725 for the SR model equipped with a four-cylinder engine and five-speed transmission while the range-topping V6 Limited will have a MSRP of $38,720 with a six-speed automatic transmission.
There are five model grades for the Toyota Tacoma. For the ninth generation, Toyota has added new models to the lineup, which is now composed of SR, SR5, TRD off road, TRD Sport and Limited trims. Toyota released all the information today.
The prices stated by Toyota do not include the delivery, processing, and handling charges. It has a new V6 Engine, Transmission and Suspension Tuning.
The first engine is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder with a rating of 159hp and 180lb-ft (244Nm) of torque. There is also a 3.5 liter V6, producing 278 HP (207 kW) and 358 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque.
Both engines will be integrated to a six-speed automatic transmission with electronic shift delivering quick and easy shifting.
One way to explain why many are interested in the Tacoma is the toys that come with the vehicle. A backup camera, USB port, and hands-free phone are also included.
“For more than 50 years adventure-seeking Americans have relied on Toyota trucks to take them places, on and off-road”, said Bill Fay, group vice president & general manager, Toyota Division. Check out the new truck’s look inside and out in our full gallery below.
