Trump Administration Announces More Sanctions on Chinese Entities over North Korea
Pyongyang is still launching threats alluded to Seoul and Washington after Donald Trump said that he is ready to resolve the North Korean issue with or without China’s support.
“The gravest challenge confronting our two nations is the nuclear and missile threat posed by North Korea”, he said.
“We are committed to targeting north Korea’s external enablers and maximizing pressure on the North Korean regime”.

His meetings with Trump, however, are likely to focus on North Korea.
Although China is pressuring the United States to start negotiations with North Korea, Kim Jong-un’s regime has shown no interest in negotiations over the suspension of its nuclear program, Fox News reports.
North Korea has vowed to execute South Korea’s former president and her spy director, accusing them of planning to assassinate its supreme leadership.
Moon also met with United States senators including Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Armed Services Committee chairman John McCain and Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Bob Corker. “It’s been a rough deal for the United States”, he said, but the new one will “be much different”.
Ahead of Moon’s visit, the White House official said Trump would call for the lifting of barriers to USA auto sales in South Korea and voice concern over steel exports from China that reach the US via South Korea.
Trump and Moon are expected to meet Thursday.
