Trump Bans Univision Employees From Miami Golf Course
Trump has told the cable channel to stop work on a gate between a golf resort he owns in Miami and adjacent Univision property, and in so many words, to “get off his lawn”. “‘If this is not done within one week, we will close it, ‘ he said”.
The billionaire, known for his unfiltered attitude, then went after Falco personally.
In the video, he said, “Mr. Trump, It is unacceptable to launch your presidential candidacy creating rhetoric of hatred and discrimination in calling Mexicans drug dealers and rapists”. During his speech, Trump blasted immigrants from Mexico who “have lots of problems” and told Americans that they are “bringing those problems to us”. However, inform them that should I become president, those days are over. “They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists”.
As Trump owns the organization responsible for coordinating “Miss Universe“, it comes as no surprise that Univision, a Hispanic network, is less than eager to support the Trump Organization by airing the program. Trump seemed to be digging himself further and further into a hole no matter how much he attempted to gain acceptance for his disparaging comments about Mexican immigrants.
In an interview scheduled to air Sunday on Telemundo’s “Enfoque con Jose Diaz-Balart“, Trump said “many bad people are coming in” from Mexico and elsewhere. Not at all. I said it about people all over.
Presidential hopeful and prominent businessman Donald Trump notified the president/CEO of Univison that his employees are no longer permitted on Trump National Doral property.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best”, Trump said at a press conference.
The company said Thursday it was canceling its Spanish-language coverage of the Miss U.S. pageant July 12.
Univision president of programming and content Alberto Ciurana was lambasted yesterday after he posted an image comparing Trump to Charleston’s racist killer Dylann Roof. “They are taking our jobs, taking our money and at the same time hurting us at the border with illegals from all over the world freely flowing into our country” he said in his statement.
Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen says Trump will be suing Univision both for breach of contract and for defamation. “I think you can not service the Hispanic community and allow it to be mistreated”.
