Trump ‘Became President of the United States Tonight — CNN’s Van Jones
In the Trump administration, the buck apparently stops anywhere but the Oval Office. Owens’ father, Bill, criticized Trump in an interview last weekend, saying he should not “hide” behind Ryan’s death and provide answers about what went wrong in the raid, which also left an 8-year-old girl and nearly 30 civilians dead.
Jones said Trump’s critics, who might be hoping he remains a “divisive cartoon”, should be anxious after the speech.
Trump acknowledges that there remains hundreds of unfilled jobs in his administration, but says “they’re unnecessary to have”. You know that. And he is very happy because I think he just broke a record.
“I told them I didn’t want to make a scene about it, but my conscience wouldn’t let me talk to him”, Mr Owens told the Miami Herald. “This was something that they were looking at for a long time doing”, Trump insisted. “They got tremendous amounts of information”.
Yet Owens’ father, Bill Owens, has demanded an investigation into what he referred to as a “stupid mission” and was not present during Trump’s address.
“I can understand people saying that”.
Zinke added that Trump’s nod to Mrs. Owens was an important and valuable moment during the joint address. A military aircraft worth $75 million was also lost, as USA troops were forced to destroy it after a crash-landing at the raid site.
“We lost a 75 million dollar airplane, individual killed and others wounded…”
Trump’s comments come on the heels of news reports claiming the contrary and conflicts comments made earlier this month by Sen. “That’s not a success in my view”, said McCain. Only emboldens the enemy! Lots of politicians, obsessed with making sure they got the speech out in the allotted time, would have moved on too quickly – missing the resonance of the cascades of applause that washed over the rawly emotional Carryn Owens. Along with the death of Ryan, several civilians lost their lives during a gun battle. Trump crowed in a series of three early morning tweets on February 9. “The buck stops right here”, promised President Obama. That’s not the way I heard it, but on this we can agree.
