Trump Blasts Clinton For Using Beauty Queen Against Him
The Clinton campaign has highlighted Machado, a Venezuelan who recently became a U.S. citizen, all week as it paints Trump as a misogynist. It’s important to note, though, that the bio of the Clinton campaign Twitter account notes, “Tweets from Hillary signed -H”.

Clinton’s tweets were reminiscent of and likely a response to a flurry of tweets Trump sent out in the early hours of Friday morning that attacked both Clinton and former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.
Machado accuses Trump of verbally abusing her, calling her “Miss Piggy” over her weight and “Miss Housekeeping”, apparently because she is Latina.

Trump ignored questions from reporters about whether he regretted the tweets as he toured the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Mich. He said Machado promised to continue supporting her and said she would stand up to the attacks.
Trump was likely alluding to past allegations that Machado was a murder accomplice in Venezuela.

Mr Trump has said that, in light of Mrs Clinton’s accusations that he is sexist, he may mention Bill Clinton’s sex scandals in the next debate. Clinton called the Republican candidate “unhinged”.
Trump’s outburst against Machado has been at the centre of intense scrutiny ever since Clinton mentioned Machado during the presidential debate.
Yet the early morning Twitter blast was an insight into how the Republican candidate has seemed unable to restrain himself from veering into unhelpful territory.
Clinton wrote, praising Machado for standing up to Trump. It was Trump’s latest effort to bounce back from Monday’s debate performance, which was widely panned as ineffective.
