Trump campaign shows a different side after Iowa loss
Trump tweeted that “during primetime of the Iowa Caucus, Cruz put out a release that @RealBenCarson was quitting the race, and to caucus (or vote) for Cruz”.
“I think they are very amusing”, Cruz said.
“It is no surprise that Donald is throwing yet another temper tantrum – or, if you’d like, yet another ‘Trumpertantrum, ‘ It seems that his reaction to everything is to throw a fit, to engage in insults”, Cruz told reporters in New Hampshire.
Just days after an unusually gracious speech after the Republican caucus, the property mogul renewed his attacks on Mr Cruz, the victor in Iowa, ahead of Tuesday’s primary in New Hampshire.
“Last night when our political team saw the CNN post saying that Dr. Carson was not carrying on to New Hampshire and SC, our campaign updated grassroots leaders just as we would with any breaking news story”, Cruz said in the statement.

“I don’t know, I can’t tell you yet”, he said.
The senator said he wakes up every morning and “laughs” at Trump’s tweets “because he’s losing it!”
Cruz is on a final push through the Granite State, visiting five towns on Wednesday and four more on Thursday.
Cruz said the country needs “a commander in chief, not a “Twitter-er in chief” and questioned Trump’s judgment and temperament”.
Cruz won 27.7 percent of the vote in the Republican caucus in Iowa, staking his claim to be the new standard bearer of the right. “But I won’t say that…it’s too controversial…it’s not politically correct”, said the businessman.
Christie finished tenth in Iowa.
A University of MA poll out Wednesday showed the bombastic billionaire leading in the Granite State with 38% support among likely GOP voters, with Cruz and Marco Rubio in a distant second and third, with 14% and 12% respectively.
His second-place finish there was seen as a major disappointment.
The CNN/WMUR poll was conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center by telephone from February 2 through February 4.
Cruz took his critique of Trump’s maturity a step further, comparing the reactionary Trump to his own daughters. “Donald is a fragile soul”, he said. “He doesn’t want to talk about the issues”.
