Trump charges, without evidence, millions voted illegally
Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway told CNN’s “State of the Nation” that Trump has not ruled out a criminal probe into Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state, even though Trump recently indicated he’d rather not do so.
That total is expected to grow when MI certifies its vote on Monday. It is handed to the candidate that is able to secure a majority of US Electoral College votes, with each state being allocated a differing amount of these votes based on their population.
Green Party candidate Jill Stein filed for the recount Friday, saying she wants to make sure hackers didn’t skew results in Wisconsin and other swing states.
A tweet to JumpVote questioned how the group gathered the data, how it knew who is a non-citizen and how it knew all of them voted for Clinton.
Trump wasn’t taking the recount efforts too kindly on Sunday afternoon, despite Stein’s claims that she was simply testing the integrity of the United States voting system following the widespread claims that Russian Federation helped sway the election.
Clinton’s lawyer said her team has been combing through the results since the election in search of anomalies that would suggest hacking by Russians or others and found “no actionable evidence” of an altered outcome.
Among the jobs Trump has still yet to fill: secretary of state. His unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud in California and elsewhere are absurd. “His reckless tweets are inappropriate and unbecoming of a President-elect”.
The US election was almost three weeks ago but now a minor party has launched a recount effort in three key swing states: Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Trump won all these three states but by a narrow margin.
Stein and Clinton’s teams cited concerns over the integrity of voting systems, which Trump himself discussed during the campaign.
The people have spoken and the election is over, and as Hillary Clinton herself said on election night, in addition to her conceding by congratulating me, “We must accept this result and then look to the future”.
He quoted from Clinton’s concession speech ” “We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead” ” and he concluded: “So much time and money will be spent – same result!”
The chairman of the Wisconsin Elections Commission says he is confident president-elect Trump will still be the victor in Wisconsin after a recount. That’s easier said than done; when I was looking at this earlier this month I couldn’t find a way to contact Phillips.
Phillips has said that he will release evidence of his claims at some point in the future – but not to the media. The deadline to petition Pennsylvania for a recount is Monday, while Michigan’s is Wednesday. Elections Commission staff would then prepare the official recount canvass certifications by 3 p.m. December 13.
President-elect Donald Trump isn’t happy about Jill Stein’s recount effort.
The Wisconsin commissioners also also said the recount could end up costing $1 million or more – a number that Stein had easily surpassed as of Monday morning, with $6.3 million raised so far.
Trump’s victory in Wisconsin marked the first time since 1984 that a Republican presidential candidate carried the state.
Trump has derided the fundraising effort by Stein to launch recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania as a “scam”.
