Trump claims credit for Pence’s strong debate
Trump’s words are “ill-considered and crude”, Bopp said, and also “statements Mike Pence would never make”.
The POLITICO/Morning Consult poll conducted this week found that 22% of Republicans want Pence to be their next nominee if Hillary Clinton wins in November.
Problem?! What problem?! Trump is the best, most fit, flawless business man.
During Tuesday night’s debate, Kaine interrupted the Republican vice presidential nominee 70 times, according to an ABC News analysis. Pence would have been expected to advocate for Trump.
“If you serve as vice president that is the best place to be” in order to seek a presidential nomination someday, Palazzolo said. However strong Mr. Pence’s performance, Mr. Trump made clear he considers it a reflection of himself.
They argue their main goal was to show that Trump’s own running mate can’t back his views on Muslims, on women, on foreign policy – and they feel that Kaine achieved that.
During the debate on Tuesday evening in Farmville, Virginia, Kaine falsely claimed that Clinton apologized to the millions of Americans she insulted by making those remarks.
But he said that movement of people from all walks of life is exactly why he’s been so inspired as Trump’s running mate.
Speaking in OH yesterday, the former president dumped on Obamacare again, calling it “a tough slog for the last year” for those making “a little bit too much money to get any help”.
He went on by repeating the Clinton Campaign’s excuse for Bill’s comment and touted Hillary’s prep for the next debate.
Though Trump was on the campaign trail, campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said he was preparing “constantly”. Her description of half of Trump’s supporters as belonging in “a basket of deplorables”? But the Sunday event might require a different kind of practice for Mr. Trump.
And Mr. Pence’s competent performance was seen as underscoring for many how ill-suited Mr. Trump is for the presidency. The man was later accused by former workers of perpetuating a cash-for-jobs scheme.
Ms. Conway said Mr. Trump was trying to answer questions as they were asked in the first debate, while Mrs. Clinton was “trying to get out those five or six zingers that she had rehearsed”. Trump does not forget news cycles.
