In an interview with the Des Moines Register published online Tuesday night, Clinton blasted Trump for the comments, but said that “nothing (Trump says) really surprises me anymore”.
“I think we all need to be aware of the pain and real anguish bullying can cause”, Mrs. Clinton said after giving the child a hug.
She also said she wasn’t in attendance because she didn’t know Hannah planned to participate.
A war of words between Republican and Democratic presidential frontrunners Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton has intensified over her charge that he has become a recruiting tool for ISIS. “And he has to keep sort of upping the stakes and going even further”.
Clinton said she does not respond to the candidate personally “because he thrives on that kind of exchange”. After Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly pressed him about these comments at the first Republican debate, Trump later told CNN that Kelly behaved inappropriately and must have had “blood coming out of her wherever”. “Again, I’m not sure anybody’s surprised that he keeps pushing the envelope”.
Meanwhile, Trump being Trump, had to respond to Clinton’s statement.
Trump said Monday night, “She was favored to win and she got schlonged, she lost”, using a slang word for male genitalia.
Clinton made three public stops in Iowa on Tuesday, two for town halls in Keota and Fairfield and another for a volunteer event in Bettendorf. Palmieri did urge others to fight back, writing that “everyone who understands the humiliation this degrading language inflicts on all women should”, according to The Week. “You just say it and you send it around the world”.
Bill Clinton is called a “fornicator” in the ISIL video, which also features President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry.
For Clinton, Trump’s attacks have the potential benefit of putting her in a position from which she has tended to have political success.
Trump implied in a tweet that the question had been staged. During Saturday’s debate, she asserted that ISIS would use videos of Trump’s hateful anti-Muslim rhetoric to aid its agenda and recruit new terrorists.
No, I don’t think we should evaluate every remark in a vacuum.
No, I didn’t know it could be used as a verb either. He also said Clinton was “crooked” and “not a president”.
Finally, if Trump were the GOP nominee, “there may be many centrist Republicans or center-right independents who decide to cross the aisle and vote for Hillary over Trump”, he added.
