Trump has five business links that are fraught with conflict
Now President-Elect Trump says he is considering reversing his former intention to reject the recent 2015 climate initiative agreement (Accord de Paris) which has 193 signatory countries/governments.
The notion arose from a story in the New York Times about Trump’s hourlong meeting on Tuesday with the paper’s editors and reporters.
The FBI investigated Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state during President Barack Obama’s first term, concluding in July that her actions were careless but that there were no grounds for bringing charges. The U.N. Environment Program cautioned that, even if all the commitments under the agreement materialize, emissions levels by 2030 could still potentially lead to a global average temperature increase of more than 3 degrees Celsius. Trump has suggested he would step down before taking office, turning the company over to his children, Donald, Jr., Ivanka and Eric. Which is, I mean I’d rather do the popular vote from the standpoint-I’d think we’d do actually as well or better-it’s a whole different campaign. “You have to understand, our companies are noncompetitive right now”, he added, pivoting back to talking about United States jobs.
The one part of the law that might hamper Trump is the “emoluments clause” in the Constitution, Article I, Section 9: “No Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State”.
Not long ago, I wrote in The Hill that it would be very positive if Trump chooses former Massachusetts Gov. and 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to be his secretary of State.
While Trump may have softened his stance on climate change, he reiterated his view on wind power.
President-elect Trump’s election sparked concerns from climate change activists that the incoming Republican president will roll back the progress made under the Obama administration. From 2001 to 2009 Donald Trump not only contributed to both parties but was a registered Democrat. He had dubbed it the “failing” New York Times on Twitter just hours before the meeting.
The President-elect on the campaign trail repeatedly vowed to slash environmental protection regulations burdening usa businesses and said that beyond the consequences to the planet, he is particularly mindful of the economic impact of combating climate change. A world jewel. And I hope we can all get along.
“Right now, they’re in love with me”, he said.
In an interview with CBS program “60 Minutes” that aired on November 13, Trump said he really planned to build a wall.
I’m sure some in the room had their little feelings hurt, but really, who cares? “My company’s so unimportant to me relative to what I’m doing”, Trump said.
“I’ve known Steve Bannon a long time“. If it’s so important to the American people, I would go for it. “I would be guided by that”, he said.
Meanwhile, Trump yesterday announced that he will nominate South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, a Republican critic who once rebuked him for failing to disavow white supremacists, as USA ambassador to the United Nations.
Trump has raised Palestinian ire by proposing that Jerusalem should be recognized as Israel’s capital, an idea contrary to traditional USA policy.
Throughout his campaign, President-elect Trump repeatedly attacked the “liberal media”, saying that various networks and newspapers had cast his bid for the presidency in an unfair light and vowed to “open up” libel laws, making it easier to sue the press.
