Trump Hits Back at Clinton’s Islamic State Claim
On Friday, Mr. Trump took credit for ending the “birther” controversy and blamed Mrs. Clinton and her 2008 presidential campaign for starting the rumors.
She added, “I know how to do this”. I think he does a decent job over there, but he’s a Democrat. “They ask him a set of much easier questions because he has not put forward detailed material you can parry him on”. “If it’s fair, if it’s unfair”.
The WSJ reported that the Democratic presidential nominee has participated in closed-door sessions and mock debates that have lasted hours.
Eleven per cent said they didn’t plan to vote for either candidate, and four per cent were unsure.
Trump said he believes there’s a foreign connection to the attack, though it was unclear how the Republican obtained that information.
“And yet despite this, I remain convinced America’s best days are ahead of us”.
“Look, it’s a phony system”, he said.
Trump responded that “By the way, Lester’s a Democrat”. With Obama playing the race card to help her with black voters, Clinton would wrap her arms ever more tightly around the president and his policies between now and November.
Trump has kept his debate prep fairly private, though he has already protested the format of the event. The survey found 47 percent of Floridians would trust Clinton more to handle illegal immigration issues, while 46 percent picked Trump.
“Hillary is all of sudden going to get tough”, Trump said. “Because she was a disaster”.
Mr Trump returned fire, arguing that it was Ms Clinton’s “weakness” that allowed Islamic State to flourish. At Temple University, she acknowledged she needs to do more to get millennials on board. I mean, she has been there, Bill, a long time.
Conversely, it gives Ms Clinton an opportunity to sell her government experience.
Clinton has been running ads against Trump that largely rely on the Republican nominee’s own words disparaging various groups of people, including women, and has fundraised off his claim she is only competitive in the election because she has “played the woman card”. McInturff pointed to the good news for Trump: “The electorate narrowly agrees with him that America has lost ground and wants to see a change in direction”.
