Trump in TV event with Clinton, says Putin better leader than Obama
Bill Clinton criticized Donald Trump over his donation to Pam Bondi, praised UCF’s scientific investments and held up Orlando as an example of how America should embrace the LGBT and Muslim communities during an Orlando campaign rally Wednesday for Hillary Clinton.
But Trump stood by a 2013 tweet that implied military sexual assault is a result of women serving in the military, when asked by Lauer.
“I think that that’s absolutely correct”, he said during the forum.
“He looks at a judge and doesn’t see a distinguished federal judge, but the son of Mexican immigrants”, she said.
In the interview, she vows to defeat the militant group and adds, “I don’t want them to feel as if they can be getting more recruits because of our politics”.
Donald Trump raised $90 million in August, the campaign said Thursday.
“No, but when I do come up with a plan that I like and that perhaps agrees with mine, or maybe doesn’t, I may love what the generals come up with”, Trump responded. The current average of polls by website RealClearPolitics puts her at 45.6 percent support, compared to Trump’s 42.8 percent.
“No one who wants to assume the responsibility of being president and commander-in-chief should be making the kind of reckless and unsafe statements and identifying with a regime that has some aggressive tendencies toward our interests, our values, our friends and allies”, she said, taking another dig at Trump.
Lauer asked: “But you have your own plan?” She also fleshed out several national security priorities if she is elected, including trying to take out the leader of the Islamic State and vowing to defeat the extremist group without putting USA troops on the ground in Iraq or Syria. “What I did learn is that our leadership, Barack Obama, did not follow what our experts. said to do”, Trump said.
Clinton has said the Clinton Foundation would stop taking foreign and corporate contributions if she were elected (she should go further, by severing all family ties with the foundation) while Trump has no plans to minimize such conflicts of interest – or even to disclose them.
Trump, again said he was “against” the Iraq War, though he said he supported the invasion one month before Congress voted to authorize it, and praised the military campaign in Iraq in the first months after the invasion.
Obama hit back at Trump on Thursday for criticizing his foreign policy record, saying the Republican nominee for the November 8 election was unfit to follow him into the Oval Office and the public should press him on his “outright wacky ideas”.
‘But, I’m also not going to be bullied or intimidated by the kind of rhetoric and demagoguery coming from the Trump campaign, ‘ she said.
“I think I would have a very, very good relationship with Putin”.
He said that in only the game’s second quarter, Clinton started “stalling, not talking to the press, not doing many events”.
A day earlier, on FOX News’ “Fox and Friends”, Trump had been asked if he trusted intelligence.
“Permitting there to be an ongoing civil war in Libya would be as threatening and as unsafe as what we are seeing in Syria”, she said.
On Tuesday night, Bondi told CNN there was no connection between the Trump donation and the decision not to investigate Trump University after students claimed they paid money for training materials and personalized instruction that were never delivered. Both candidates believe they have the upper hand, with Clinton contrasting her experience with Trump’s unpredictability and the Republican arguing that Americans anxious about their safety will be left with more of the same if they elect Obama’s former secretary of state.
He added: “Now, it’s a very different system, and I don’t happen to like the system”.
