Trump lead among Republicans undiminished in first poll after Muslim comments
Republican presidential contender Donald Trump said his call to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. sparked a useful discussion about radicalism within that community, and he’s not daunted by polls showing most Americans oppose the idea. No other Republican candidate gets more than 3 percent.
After perhaps his most controversial mop-up, the call upon the USA to deny entry to Muslims, some immediately responded by saying Trump has “gone to far, this time”.
“But we have got to stop the problem”, he said in response to a question. He said he would be “out of here” if those types of deals remained.
“I don’t think that those extreme positions would be brought up in any context in a Republican primary”, said Republican consultant Cheri Jacobus. “I wasn’t excited when they were up – I’m not excited when they were down”.
Ahead of Tuesday’s GOP presidential debate, the retired neurosurgeon slammed the party after reports emerged that Republican insiders were discussing the possibility of deal-making to decide the eventual nominee at the Republican National Convention.
Trump said he agrees with Carson’s positions and sent him a note this week saying so.

One sign declared Trump to be “America’s Hitler”, and several protesters taped gold Stars of David on their winter coats as Jews in Germany once did.
But should world leaders treat the movement of human beings in and out of a country like details of a real estate contract? We have to say something about it, at least, in order to maybe somehow impact it.
Inside the hotel, Trump briefly spoke as he accepted the endorsement of the union.
“How do you tell the Bahraini pilots that fly, the Saudi pilots that fly and the Emirati pilots ‘You’re good enough to fight against ISIL, but you’re not good enough to come to the United States?’ Huge mistake”, Burr said.
ABDUL-JABBAR: Absolutely. And, you know, because of this, we can’t do anything about it because for one reason, nothing about his campaign is, let’s say, illegal, because in our country, candidates aren’t required to tell the truth.
