Trump looks to grab attention as Republican rivals debate

Hours before the GOP candidates were scheduled to appear at the final GOP debate in Des Moines, both FOX News and the candidates prepared for a debate without front-runner Donald Trump.
Trump claims he was treated unfairly in the first Fox debate, so now the business mogul is betting he’s bigger than the network.
Trump likened his decision to skip the debate to how he would lead the country as president of the United States. “But you have to stick up for your rights”. CBSN, the network’s 24/7 streaming news network, will cover Trump’s wounded warrior fundraiser, according to a CBS spokesman.
The network acknowledged that Ailes had three conversations with Trump but said in a statement that Trump had offered to participate in the debate only if Fox News donated $5 million to his charity. “And if we capture them alive, they are going to Guantanamo”.
Marco Rubio Rubio defended his call for monitoring mosques in the U.S.in light of recent attacks by Islamic extremists. (It wouldn’t be the first time).
He chose to withdraw after the broadcaster refused to drop host Megyn Kelly, whom Mr Trump accused of bias.
Other GOP candidates saw Trump’s move as a welcome opportunity to emerge from the long shadow the billionaire has cast over the race, while also hoping it might damage his standing with Iowa voters.
