Trump marks campaign anniversary in Texas
The candidate commented as cat-calling protesters were removed from the rally.
Since the deadliest mass shooting in US history occurred Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Trump has been positioning himself as the better candidate for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.
He provided the crowd with laughter and promises for his campaign and presidency.
Here is a review of some of his most notable reversals.
The violence, he said, will continue to get worse “until they respect us”.
“They will go up a little bit”, Trump said in a May 8 interview on ABC News’ “This Week”. “We’re going to save your Second Amendment”. “I love your hair”, he said with a degree of marvel. What happens next? Who else do we ban?
He said, “I think you’re going to have a very good result”. His intentions also were unclear. “Tell me. Who is better for women?”
Trump’s biggest applause came when he spoke on gun control.
Speaking Thursday at a Dallas country-western dance hall known mainly for a mechanical bull that Trump called “that horse”, the New York Republican told his faithful that it was the anniversary, “and hopefully we’re gonna make it a worthwhile year”.
Trump used the incidence to push with his agenda.
Cheers rang out chanting “U.S.A.” after Trump theorized on how events could have played if the Orlando victims had been armed.
Trump reminded the audience of the loss of conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and the role the next president will play in the historical appoint of the justices.
California State University, Fullerton professor Alexandro Jose Gradilla says the word “Mexican” is often a stand-in for one of many closely related slurs targeting Mexican-Americans.

On Thursday, Trump addressed a rally in Dallas, at Gilley’s just south of downtown. “I just don’t have the time and, frankly, I don’t have the interest”. “It’s meant to provoke and enrage people into a violent response”.
“I will pick great, smart, brilliant, conservative, intellects”, Trump said. Trump mixed it up with at least one critic, who was wearing a cowboy hat and whom Trump said had interrupted him a couple of times. I’m allowed to change. No one wanted to send the wrong message to America – that the Trump supporters are violent or our supporters are violent.
“No, I don’t plan to”, Hogan said.
“The Republicans, you know, honestly folks, our leaders, our leaders have to get tougher. There’s no question about it. They’re living in hell, and something has to be done”.
