Trump now praises Electoral College

I like to believe this is why my parents emigrated to this country from Mexico in 1986.

And when Trump constantly beat the drum against the media (many of whose organizations conduct polling) and polling (when they showed him losing), then perhaps this non-response factor among his supporters isn’t so surprising. “It’s possible that Trump voters were a little less forthcoming, but over the Internet, this notion goes away and they felt less restraint”.

Many swing-state polls weren’t terribly far off either, as the noted Republican polling firm Public Opinion Strategies pointed out in a memo last week. Clinton lost the state by 10 points. “I don’t like admitting it myself”. “Lots of data to be examined, lots of hard questions to ask and answer”.

I allowed myself a mental health day on the following Wednesday. I was anxious for my friends that were not straight white males. “And you have to make a guess as to what they think”, says Arie Kapteyn, director of the USC Dornsife Center. I thought about my family that would be affected by Trump’s policies. When you activate deep-rooted fears, you have to make sure that “we” are more powerful than the “others”, so our national existence is not put in jeopardy. The Democratic National Committee angered Democrats and backstabbed a candidate that was beloved by millions. Did the GOP finally embrace Trump as one of their own?

If governments, in the USA or in Europe, decide that the only way to maintain order is to act in the manner the Egyptian authorities act against protesters, it will be hard to talk about social peace.
