Trump on Muslim claim: ‘I’m not going to take it back’
On “Meet the Press” Trump again insisted he saw celebrations in New Jersey following the terrorist attacks- despite no video coverage backing up that claim and police denying it happened.
SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) – Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has boasted about his high standing in polls, slammed super PACS as “a scam” and dismissed rivals Sen. Fact-based stuff matters, no?’
The controversial remarks may be taking a toll on Trump, who has seen his support in Reuters/Ipsos opinion polling of Republican voters nationally take a sharp downturn in the past week. His outlandish statements, often laced with sexism, racism and many other isms, often get national attention. As well as Trump’s almost hour long address, the crowd heard from a variety of colorful Trump supporters before he spoke, and children were given helicopter rides outside.
The colonel concludes: “But think about this: If he keeps going, and he actually becomes president, he might just get around to you”. “Many people have tweeted that I am right”. And while many are predicting the frontrunner will face greater obstacles the closer the time comes for actual votes, it’s clear voters by the thousands are anxious to gather and see first-hand a bit of this political circus.
“I think it’s going to be an easy campaign, Florida, because I’m leading by a lot already, and Bush is down in the tubes, and Rubio is a little higher than Bush”, Trump said.
The website says: “In conversations over the past month, GOP establishment donors have confided to the Hill that for the first time in recent memory, they find themselves contemplating not supporting a Republican nominee for president”.

Trump stuck mostly to his stump speech to the assembled thousands, who cheered, jeered and chanted enthusiastically as Trump revved them up.
Bush said Trump’s campaign strategy is to “dominate the news” and that the media was going along with it. “He knows what he’s saying”.

Because somebody who divides this country here in the 21st century, who’s calling names of women and Muslims and Hispanics and mocking reporters and then saying I didn’t do it but he did do it. Many of those invited to the event say they had no intention of endorsing the billionaire businessman and former reality television star. “I’m telling you, I would never do it”.
Appearing on “Meet the Press”, Trump refused to criticize the often charged rhetoric surrounding the abortion debate or blame it for the actions of deranged gunman Robert Lewis Dear, despite efforts by host Chuck Todd to pry from the candidate a condemnation of the pro-life movement.
During his Sunday-morning interview, Trump argued that supposed worldwide Muslim celebrations on September 11, 2001, suggest that similar rallies would have occurred in northern New Jersey.
