Trump orders FBI investigation into Kavanaugh
In the last two years, the Federal Bureau of Investigation had to tip-toe through cloudy waters when the director was accused of inserting himself into national politics during the presidential campaign and was eventually fired.
A woman who accused Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment almost three decades ago said she sees some similarities with current high court nominee Brett Kavanaugh who fate hangs in the balance amid an FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations.
The investigation is being carried out at the request of Senate Republicans, a move that will delay the contentious confirmation process by a week. Kavanaugh has emphatically denied all allegations against him.
According to NBC’s reporting, sourced to a White House official, Trump has banned the FBI from investigating the gang rape allegations brought forward by Julie Swetnick.
“It was too timely and strategic”, said King, 21.

The woman, Christine Blasey Ford, told the committee about her memory of the assault. “His testimony was powerful, honest, and riveting”, Trump said.
“This country is being ripped apart here, and we’ve got to make sure we do due diligence”, he told the committee.
“I wouldn’t have done it”, Graham, who blasted his Democratic colleagues Thursday at the hearing, told reporters. Wright said Thomas also asked about breast size and showed up at her apartment uninvited.
“Ford is political collateral, and they do not care”, Mace said.
Sullivan was catching up and watching the hearing while in recovery at home as of Friday, he said. Only 113 people have ever served on the Supreme Court, and I believe that we must do our level best to protect its sanctity.
At least four Republican governors have called for a deeper investigation into the allegations against Kavanaugh, including Gov. Charlie Baker of Massachusetts, Gov. Phil Scott of Vermont, Gov. Chris Sununu of New Hampshire and Gov. Larry Hogan of Maryland, which is Kavanaugh’s home state.
“I’m sorry that this bad thing happened to her at the hands of someone”, Conger said. “But when Dr Blasey [Ford] did it, I forced myself to think about it again”.
