Trump raises $51 million for campaign and GOP allies

His campaign has struggled to attract top bundlers, and he is expected to trail Clinton by at least $500 million in total dollars raised. That’s less than Hillary Clinton raised for herself ($40.5 million) and her party ($68.5 million, combined). His campaign raised $33 million in June of that year. The campaign said some 400,000 supporters donated, with 94 percent sending under $200. Gingrich has been a close Trump adviser and is well regarded at Trump Tower.
