Trump reacts to bombings: ‘This is only going to get worse’
“Our local police, they know who a lot of these people are”, Trump said during an interview with “Fox and Friends” after asked for his idea on how cops should investigate and respond to terror plots, like the explosion that rocked Chelsea Saturday evening. “[If] they see somebody suspicious, they will take that person in to check out”.
Trump did not say anything about goods sold under his name in the US that were manufactured overseas. However, authorities have confirmed that Rahami was a naturalized American citizen who was born in Afghanistan, not Syria.
Add to that Trump’s call to unconstitutionally profile suspects based on their race and ethnicity.
“Well, I think it’s important to know the facts about any incident like this”.
Polls have shown the issue affecting Americans’ choices in the election, with 17 percent of likely voters across the country recently telling the Quinnipiac University Poll that terrorism generally was the most important issue facing the United States, second only to concerns about the economy. You go to Israel, and [U.S. law enforcement] should study [Israel], because Israel’s done a phenomenal job at this. He said earlier in the day he supports racial profiling to help prevent terrorist attacks at home. And people aren’t complaining about it.
We need to profile terrorists. In Trump’s case, profiling would focus on darker-skinned men and women identifying or appearing to be Muslim.
“I’m not using the term Muslim!”
“We’ve been weak, our country has been weak”, Trump said, calling Syrian refugees “cancer from within”.
Trump also on Monday warned the situation in the country will only get worse. Obama won’t even say the words. Since announcing his candidacy, Trump has used the terms “Muslim” and “Islam” thousands of times, nearly always in order to warn his supporters of the threat posed by the world’s 1.6 billion followers of the religion.
But Trump was really just getting started.
For her part, Clinton, a former senator and Secretary of State, has responded to events in NY and New Jersey as one would expect her to: with reasoned, responsible stances, calls for vigilance, appeals to Americans’ sense of fairness, and reminders about some of her related policy proposals she intends to implement if elected. Sisi is a career military officer who seized power in a coup, and whose government detains political dissidents indefinitely without trial. We’re going to open up those libel laws so that when The New York Times writes a hit piece, which is a total disgrace, or when The Washington Post, which is there for other reasons, writes a hit piece, we can sue them and win money instead of having no chance of winning because they’re totally protected.
