Trump Remains On Top In National Poll While Carson Drops To Third
Clinton remains the most likely Democratic nominee, and despite her negative favorability ratings, she can easily beat any of the Republican nominees in a general election. Ted Cruz’s support for a NSA spying reform bill on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015.
While Cruz, 44, expressed his support for access to birth control, he reiterated his opposition to abortion and attacked Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton for her pro-abortion rights beliefs. Cruz also increased his support by 3 percent since last month.
Trump, for his part, remains steady on the top of the national polls, the undisputed frontrunner less than two months from the Iowa caucuses.
Meanwhile, he compares Rubio to Hillary Clinton.
“They all speak well to the issues”, said King, whose son, Jeff, was recently tapped to run Cruz’s super-PAC Iowa operation, which has a half-dozen people on staff. “But there’s no one who knows the judicial branch like Ted Cruz knows it, and who’s argued before the Supreme Court”.
It’s unclear what specifically is causing the decline, but the rise of Rubio and Cruz as alternatives might have something to do with it. Note that Carson’s bubble in September got deflated when Carly Fiorina (dark gray line) suddenly caught fire.
Clinton, bolstered by Vice President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek the nomination, has appeared more confident on the campaign trail.
Obama campaigned in 2008 on a pledge to bring change to Washington, propelled by a grass-roots campaign and the power of millions of Americans.

But now, he’s locked in a battle with Rubio and Cruz, both of whom are seeing their highest support in months. Cruz – that have voted to weaken those programs.
Still, these new national numbers come after a recent Quinnipiac poll in Iowa showed Carson giving way to Sen.
Carson, who has been buoyed by the support of social conservatives, has been among the most gaffe-prone candidates this cycle. Romney’s victory over McCain in 2008 may have had more to do with the former’s MA roots than ideology. John McCain – fell into the latter category, and some GOP voters blame their defeats on an inability to energize conservatives.
Less than three months ago, Cruz tried to shut down the government over defunding Planned Parenthood.
The bill passed the Senate but was ultimately blocked from a House vote by Republicans. The shutdown also contributed to a belief among some GOP leaders that Cruz is a self-promoter with no party loyalty.
The college debate champion turned lawyer turned Republican presidential candidate’s deliberate and confrontational speaking style is one of his signatures, and his comments are carrying more weight as the Texas senator ascends polls of GOP voters ahead of the 2016 election.
Which tells you pretty much how old he is. And there are Republicans – including Sen. Chuck Grassley on gun legislation.
