Trump says he’ll do more for women as president than Clinton
It will be the first time that a female candidate is featured in a United States presidential debate. Each candidate gets two minutes to respond to the question, and then they can respond to each other.
Gennifer Flowers says she’ll be at the presidential debate. Clinton still leads but by a slim three-point national lead in the RealClearPolitics average of polls, but that’s not a situation either she or her campaign is comfortable with. “It confuses someone who is a businessman and really doesn’t know the details”.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump gestures to the crowd during a rally in Roanoke, Va., Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016. Clinton is expected to conduct at least one mock debate over the weekend, whereas Trump will not do a full-length mock debate, according to their campaign officials.
For Trump, that means avoiding coming across as a bully and instead appearing presidential – “calm and competent”, Perry said, able to discuss policy issues without giving critics of his temperament more ammunition. “But you could see some Republicans quote-unquote “coming home” to Trump if he has a subdued debate”. Consequently each candidate had comparatively little time to speak and develop concrete policy ideas.
Todd said the presidential debates are more likely than not “the end of the road for the third-party candidates”, with voters seeing their only choice as between the candidates on stage. That was thought to be, in part, because of what she put up with being Mrs. Bill. That’s because in his previous debates, Mercieca explained, Trump had only one minute for a response, but still struggled to come up with substantive things. Regardless of Trump or Clinton’s debate performances, Trump will declare himself the victor.
“They each need to adopt a little more of the other’s persona”, said LaVarr Webb, publisher of UtahPolicy.com and a Deseret News columnist, but Trump has the most to gain.
And this year has been like none in the past, with Trump, 70, using social media around the clock in combative fashion, while often making mistakes, misstatements and blunders without troubling his base. “Well, that hurts my feelings”, she said as the audience roared. More than half of Americans say they are not sure they can trust her.
“The question is whether Donald Trump can even begin to illustrate how he would do that”, said Galen.
The poll shows immigration issues are particularly important to Trump’s supporters. “He has generally gotten away with not having that”.
Clinton’s campaign released a long list of lies it attributes to Donald Trump ahead of the debate.
In her recent Washington Post column – entitled, “When will millennials start liking Hillary Clinton?”.
“We have a partner in Hillary Clinton”, Gutierrez said. “She may come off as too calculated or too rehearsed in such a way that it makes her seem untrustworthy and potentially unlikeable as a leader”. That’s even though they’re far more likely to say their personal financial situation is good than poor, 66 percent to 34 percent. “But that is the image she is trying to project”.
As Clinton has run into some turbulence, Trump has worked to present himself as a more disciplined candidate in an effort to attract more support from voters who traditionally have supported Republican nominees, the poll said.
In a two-way matchup, Clinton tops Trump by 49 per cent to 47 per cent among likely voters, and the two are tied at 46 per cent among all registered voters, the report said. People selected for KnowledgePanel who didn’t have access to the internet were provided access for free.
Democrat Hillary Clinton had a four-percentage point advantage in support over Republican Donald Trump ahead of their first USA presidential debate, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos national tracking poll.
