Said a second senior European official: “Vis-a-vis Russian Federation, to be frank I have the impression that the analysis and the positions of this administration are probably now closer to our position than (they) may have been two or three months ago”.

His tweet, though, wasn’t exactly dealing with the AG’s alleged association with Russian Federation as much as another politician’s.
With the extent of the Trump campaign’s ties to Russian Federation unknown, Ben-Veniste said it is too early to say that the Russian Federation questions will lead to a Watergate-style inquiry.

Sessions has said he didn’t mislead Congress as he was answering in the context of discussions related to the Trump campaign.
Of course, there is a difference between a senator publicly meeting with a world leader and the multiple Russian Federation scandals that Trump is facing.
