Trump sparked outrage over the weekend when suggested that a serviceman who was captured could not be a realhero, in reference to McCain’s time in a Vietnamese prison. “So what I said is John McCain, I disagree with him that thesepeople aren’t mad”.
“He wouldn’t be candidate I would vote for”, said Jessica Aprile of Plaistow.

At his formal announcement last month, Trump said illegalimmigrants from Mexico are criminals and rapists.
As Talking Points Memo reported, the former reality star had taken the lead with Republican voters before he knocked McCain’s record, winning the support of 24 percent of respondents in one poll. “I like individuals who weren’t captured”.
“Somehow to denigrate that in any way is offensive, I think, to most of our veterans”. McCain said those polls might not hold up. Now, he’s watching again as his father’s reputation as a war hero becomes an unlikely subject of debate in the 2016 campaign.
After catching flak for those comments, Trump went on to twitter to respond to his critics.
McCain told MSNBC he has fielded a “flood of calls” from military veterans unhappy with Trump’s remarks.
