Trump slams media for questioning business meetings
U.S. Sen. Tom Carper is asking a federal ethics watchdog for more information about how the government will handle potential conflicts of interest in President-elect Donald Trump‘s administration.
No one knows how pervasive President-elect Donald Trump’s business interests actually are.
“If we’ve got to talk to a foreign government about their behavior, or negotiate a treaty, or some country asks us to send our troops in to defend someone else, we’ve got to make a decision”.
His remarks came as he concluded his final world tour as president and what was expected to be his last face-to-face meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
In October, Trump released a plan for his first 100 days in office. And he has five buildings in India. His Indian business partners met with him last week in NY. It was a short meeting.

“Once you’re in the Oval Office, once you begin interacting with world leaders, once you see the complexities of the issues, that has a way of shaping your thinking”, Obama said. “You have to make sure you’re truly walled off and Mr. Trump is focusing on America and there’s no self-interest or self-profit in what he does as the President”, Duffy told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on “The Situation Room” Monday.
Kenneth Gross, head of political law at the firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, calls Trump’s holdings “unprecedented” in size and complexity for a president, a “tangled web” of potential conflicts that would be hard to unravel.
In more than three years, Washington and Beijing have joined hands to confront challenges and effectively managed differences, while bilateral consultation and cooperation mechanisms have yielded rich results, said Obama.

That committee operated mostly independently of the Trump campaign, and perhaps too much so.
In reality, there seem to be few barriers that stand between Trump and walking off with an unlimited payday.
As president, Trump’s decisions on trade deals with foreign governments could affect the value of his overseas holdings, as could US military action.
Obama said he had offered assistance to Trump over the next couple of months, and urged the country to unite to face its challenges.
Now that President-elect Trump will be running the country come January 20, he must step away from the business that made him a celebrity.
Obama warned that there are going to be tensions around trade more than anything else, because the President-elect campaigned on looking at every trade policy and potentially reversing some of them.

The Washington Post reports how foreign diplomats are now staying at Trump’s DC hotel as a way to curry favor with the new administration. He says this could eventually be grounds for an “impeachment issue” for Donald Trump.
Yet Trump appears to be immune to criticism – or at least unfazed by it.
“I ve asked my transition team to develop a list of executive actions we can take on day one to restore our laws and bring back our jobs”, the USA president-elect said in a video message outlining priorities for his first 100 days.
The problem is there really aren’t a lot of laws in this subject.
On the chance of the Democrats in producing future presidents, Obama expressed optimism, saying that former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton won the popular vote.
