Trump switches stand on Berlin attack, but vague Muslim registry

The United States President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that the terror attacks in Berlin and Turkey’s Ankara were bad but he also went on to say that he has been proven right about his proposal to curb the immigration of Muslim population into the United States.

This week’s overseas terror attacks have further convinced President-elect Donald Trump that his immigration plans are now more necessary than ever.

Meanwhile, the new Trump International Hotel Washington DC, just blocks from the White House, has become ground zero for deal-making. “That’s what it is: an attack on humanity”, he said.

“Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on”, Trump said at the time.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility on Tuesday for a deadly truck attack that occurred Monday in Berlin, Germany, leaving 12 people dead and 48 injured. On Wednesday, German officials launched a Europe-wide manhunt for a “violent and armed” Tunisian man suspected in the killings. Ivanka Trump was forced to stop marketing the 18-karat diamond piece she wore during an appearance on 60 Minutes to ease concerns that she was cashing in on her father’s pending presidency.

Among those whose future is still in flux is Corey Lewandowski, Mr Trump’s controversial first campaign manager who was sacked after clashing with the president-elect’s family.

The announcement was contradicted by the fundraiser’s own spokesman, who said Eric and Donald Trump Jr. were honorary co-chairmen and would attend the January 21 event.
