Trump Takes a Cue From Sarah Palin
While Glassner’s political experience may well prove to be an asset to Trump’s campaign, there is something nearly poetic about Trump tapping a former Palin adviser to run his campaign. In that role, Glassner will be “responsible for developing and implementing a national political plan and will oversee strategic planning and political operations nationwide”, according to the campaign statement. “Trump, the very definition of the American success story”. Glassner was also a senior advisor to George W. Bush’s 2000 campaign in Iowa. Glassner was also the top aide for Sen. Bob Dole, serving as an adviser on his presidential campaigns in 1988 and 1996. “Mr. Trump has set the standards of excellence in many arenas, including real estate, sports, and entertainment – and now, in American politics”, Glassner said in the statement.
Earlier this week, Trump said he would “love” to have Palin in his administration if he wins the White House. He has questioned whether the Arizona Republican, who suffered permanent injuries from torture as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, was a war hero.
A Quinnipiac poll released Thursday found Trump leading the GOP primary field, with 20 percent of likely Republican voters backing Trump, followed by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker with 13 percent and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with 10 percent.
“She really is somebody who knows what’s happening, and she’s a special person”, Trump said. “She’s a special person”.

Bonus: It’s hard to tell whether Melanie Bately at Newsmax got the satire or not; she included Boggioni’s piece in a more serious one titled, “Trump, Palin Ticket Would Be a GOP Trailblazer“. “You just don’t see very much of it anymore”, he said.
