Police have confirmed that at least four people have died after what they describe as a terrorist attack near London’s Houses of Parliament.
Prime Minister Theresa May was seen being ushered into a silver Jaguar auto as what sounded like gunfire rang out at Parliament during the incident, PA reported. Speaking in Downing Street after that meeting, May said the attack was “sick and depraved”.
Officials say a man with a knife attacked a police officer at Parliament and was shot by officers.
“We condemn these horrific acts of violence, and whether they were carried out by troubled individuals or by terrorists, the victims know no difference”, Tillerson said.

Tonight, and in the forthcoming days, Londoners can expect to see more police, both armed and unarmed, on the streets.
The Met Police said it could not confirm the number of casualties, which included police officers.
MPs voted to adjourn Parliament which was put in lock-down.
At around 2:35 p.m. a loud bang was heard throughout the building as the auto slammed into parliament’s perimeter fence.
Here is how the attack unfolded. MPs were told to stay inside, but were later moved to Westminster Abbey. Clutching a knife, he approached a second officer and was shot by police.
At least 20 people were injured after a vehicle crashed into pedestrians on Wednesday afternoon.
