Trump Taps Ex-‘Apprentice’ Star As African-American Outreach Director

But as of today, he’s determined to change that as he has officially named Omarosa Manigault as his director of African-American outreach.

Ironically, Manigault is well-known for getting fired by Trump during the 2004 season of the reality show where she developed a reputation for being a villain. In the interview, which took place at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Manigault said that she’s “proud to serve the role”.

Manigault was sacked after the ninth week of “The Apprentice”.

Last December, amid growing backlash over repeated incidents of racial violence at campaign rallies, Manigault – who is an ordained minister – joined a group of Black pastors for a highly publicized conference at the Trump Towers in New York City. In a particularly Trump-ish pivot, she appeared to call into question the veracity of the polls themselves, while dodging the stark reality of the numbers she’d been presented with.

However, it seems she may have a long road ahead as MSNBC host Craig Melvin reportedly presented Manigault with a poll showing that none of the African-American voters in OH said Trump would get their vote.

The 42-year-old reality star has been seen on The Apprentice, Celebrity Apprentice, Celebrity Apprentice Allstars and various defunct reality television shows, but during her appearance on Where are They Now? in 2013, she said she had left reality TV behind. She also taught marketing classes at Howard University and was working towards a divinity degree.

Omarosa justifies her support of Trump with the narrative that Donald will improve the lives of African-Americans. Looking for ways to fill their gas tank and fill prescriptions for their family.

She added, “Donald Trump really has an incredible vision for this country”. “One woman wanted to slug her”.
