Trump tweets a picture of Jeb Bush next to a Swastika
“I’m still hard at work fixing problems in my district, which is a thing people who want to be on city council do, not someone running for President!” “It’s about a set of principles”, Bush said, in a jab at rivals Donald Trump and Marco Rubio, and a nod to his flat performance in the debate last week in Colorado.
Donald Trump on Tuesday said that Jeb Bush should drop out of the Republican primary, saying that the former Florida governor is “wasting his time“. Another depicted him dressed as a mariachi musician replete with sombrero. The tweet has since been deleted.
“Among responses on Twitter, American actor and comedian Steve Crowder, whose Twitter handle is “@scrowder”, wrote: “‘Jeb Can Fix It’ – said no one other than Jeb Bush”.
Clyburn argued the incident shows Trump is insensitive towards minority voters. “I look at a few of the mail I get, a few of the faxes that come into my office, [and] I would not dream of sending that kind of stuff out”.
The Trump campaign has said Trump did not see the image when he re-tweeted it and it has been deleted.
The Bush campaign is on life support and quickly circling the drain.
The Republican front-runner, who often retweets storms of supporters late into the night, has deleted other controversial tweets in the past.
Trump has repeatedly attacked Bush for being weak on border security and enforcing existing illegal immigration laws.
Mockingly called “low energy” by Trump, Bush joked about the advice he’s received.
