Trump Widens Lead in N.H

The Benchmark survey interviewed 314 likely Republican primary voters November 12-15.

The GOP primary contest – marked by raucous debates and occasional nasty exchanges – has not helped numerous candidates in the minds of Florida voters.

According to the poll, Trump is leading the 14-man field with 28 percent of support. Marco Rubio, the preference of 13%. That’s Jeb Bush who’s headed in the wrong direction- his 5% level of support is only half of the 10% that he had in October.

Following last week’s terror attacks in Paris, multiple polls suggest that Trump’s popularity has risen among GOP voters, defying the conventional expectation that voters would turn to a more experienced candidate to handle such a crisis, The Christian Science Monitor reported. “We should be honest about the fact that to be successful, airstrikes will have to be combined with ground forces actually taking back more territory from ISIS”, said Mrs. Clinton during a speech in NY.

Besides Cruz there’s only one other candidate in the whole field whose support has moved by more than 2 points over the last six weeks. He has lost eight points and is tied with the surging Ted Cruz for second place with 18%.

“We have no idea who these people are”, Trump said Saturday.

The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 4.9 percent, giving Trump a decisive lead.

Sarah Hilman, a 68-year-old retired day care worker in Wakefield, N.H., said she liked that Carson “doesn’t panic” under the intense media scrutiny. “Such extremist rhetoric is unbecoming of anyone who seeks our nation’s highest office and must be strongly repudiated by leaders from across the political spectrum”.
