Trying to buy a Nintendo Switch in Denver? Good luck with that
For WIndows and Android devices, you have to use something like JoyToKey in order to set up key bindings while on Mac, the Joy-Cons are natively recognised as Bluetooth controllers. The hybrid console gets a pair of JoyCon wireless controllers which slide to the sides, and can be detached while playing connected to a TV.
Nintendo has now responded to these issues on its support page, where it provides some advice for anyone whose controllers either lose connection or start behaving unpredictably.
Nintendo’s Switch launched last week to generally positive reviews, but a few issues over the weekend could tarnish the early adoption experience. It’s also meant as a mobile video game console.
We also have sales figures out of Japan and the United Kingdom, which show sales of the console at 314,000 and 80,000 units, respectively. You also shouldn’t use it when “pressed against a large amount of wires and cords” or “near an aquarium”.
Although the United Kingdom support pages still don’t seem to mention it the American ones have an entry for “Joy-Con Not Responding or Responding Incorrectly When Used Wirelessly”.
In many ways, Switch marks a big change in direction for Nintendo.
It is unknown if this latency problem can be remedied, either by Nintendo through a software update, or with some tool developed by the community behind Android.
Nintendo has a number of tips to ensure you don’t suffer from Joy-Con problems, including not placing the Switch near to a fish tank.
The most worrying reports are coming out of the where users are reporting that they’re finding the dock is scratching the console’s screen with repeated use. Basically, you need to ask people for their codes in order to add them (just like previous consoles) and the worst part is you can’t add more than 300 friends.
