TUF 22 Finale Opening Act For UFC 194
Conor McGregor and Urijah Faber are now coaching teams of fighters on the reality show, which is filming in Las Vegas, but they will not fight each other at the end of the season.
The UFC announced on Wednesday night that the TUF 22 Finale will hit Las Vegas on Friday, December 11, one night before UFC 194 in the same city. Lightweight Joe Lauzon (pictured) will battle Evan Dunham, while welterweights Ryan LaFlare and Mike Pierce will also tango.
Lauzon (25-10) scored a victory over Takanori Gomi recently to improve to 3-1 in his last four, while Dunham (16-6) is on a two-fight win streak.
Fight fans are gearing up for the premier of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22 which begins next month on FOX Sports 1. Pierce is returning to action for the first time since 2013 when he took on the highly controversial Rousimar Palhares. That led to Palhares’ release from the UFC, only for the Brazilian to go on and hold several more submissions since then.
Many anticipate UFC 194 on December 12 to be the biggest event of the year. Chris Weidman will also defend his middleweight title against Luke Rockhold at UFC 194.
