Tumblr Conspiracy Theory Claims Demi Lovato Has a Secret Twin Sister Named

But, for reasons we have yet to decipher, this week the internet bequeathed Demi Lovato a sister named Poot, who – as modern legend has it – has been in hiding her whole life and was only recently was allowed into the light. Poot’s only been out of her basement for a short time, and she’s already taking the world by storm!

Until it reappeared on another account belonging to a user called cstcrpt – who suggested it might not be Demi at all but her mysterious twin. I sure am. You know who isn’t glad the weekend has arrived, because she probably doesn’t know it’s the weekend, and besides, there really isn’t a difference between weekdays and weekends where she lives?

This isn’t the first time that the secret sibling of a celebrity has been conjured out of thin air. We did a little digging, and it appears the saga of Poot began on Sunday, October 11, 2015 when a Tumblr user “cstcrpt” [whose real name is Tom] shared a photo on his page of what looks to be a low-grade and washed out paparazzi picture of Demi – an image Tom felt was so cryptic and unlike Demi that he assumed it must be an imposter. Wikipedia entries for words like “basement” and “outside” were also edited to contain a few references to Poot. But the origin story of Poot had been told, and that was all the Internet needed. Move over Harry Potter, it’s time for Harry Pooter.

Poot’s already got quite the social media presence! Poot definitely doesn’t seem to have the same level of manners as her sister Demi.

Today in “people on the internet are weird and brilliant” news, the lovely people existing on Tumblr have come up with a wonderful new conspiracy theory centring around Demi Lovato.
