Turkish PM at UN calls for refugee ‘safe zone’ in Syria
Turkey has seen tensions steadily rise in its restive southeast in recent months amid a spillover of conflict from Syria.
PM Davutoglu, who was in New York to attend a few United Nations meetings, has greeted the 14 year-old Ahmad Mohammad at an event organized by the Turken Foundation, which helps Turkish students in the US. He has committed crimes against humanity.
The minister also warned that world regions are not immune to ongoing Middle East violence as terrorism has become a transnational phenomenon.
“In hosting so many refugees from the crisis [in Syria] – more than 2 million people – Turkey has demonstrated admirable commitment to humanitarian action”, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said.
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who has previously stated that the Armenian diaspora is also the diaspora of Turkey, urged Turks living in the U.S.to fight against the Armenian diaspora.

He said all terror groups should be degraded.
“This tragedy will not end before the people of Syria have a legitimate government that truly represents their will and enjoys their full consent”.
The USA has been reluctant to create such a buffer zone thus far, saying it would be hard to protect the area. A top Kremlin official said the authorization follows a request for military assistance by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
“It is possible that this [transition] process may take place with or without Assad”.
As the discussions on a political transition and the future of Assad continue, Russian jets on Wednesday began conducting airstrikes in Syria that allegedly targeted moderate opposition fronts.
“We will never tolerate any terrorist activity on the other side of our border with Syria and Iraq, if there is any threat to Turkey by Daesh and PKK-link groups Turkey will have right to defend its border and security”, Davutoglu insisted.
