TV station reporting live when Minnesota bank robbed again
“That’s the robber who just went by”.
A KIMT News 3 reporter became part of the story Tuesday when a suspected bank robber he was reporting on ran past him during his live shot.
The reporter was live on the air talking about a bank robbery when an employee ran out to let him know the robber had just robbed the bank for the second time. and escaped.
Before Sallet runs off screen, he says, “I gotta go here and call 911”. The robber was never seen on camera. Sallet explained later in the broadcast he saw the man walking around before his live shot acting suspicious and thought nothing of it. “I’ll talk to you later”.
The Post-Bulletin (http://bit.ly/1TOlERN ) reports police spotted the suspect’s vehicle on U.S. Highway 52.
Police Capt. John Sherwin says the same man is suspected of robbing the bank two days in a row.
He allegedly gave an employee a note demanding money and fled on foot to the north after he was given an undisclosed amount of money.
