TVS BMW Concept Stunt G310 – TVS-BMW K03 unveiled
BMW Motorrad has unveiled the Concept Stunt G 310, at a bike show in Brazil.
One of the coolest things about the BMW G310 is that the legendary, multiple stunt world champion Chris Pfeiffer agreed to bestow a few of his vast expertise into transforming the bike into a stunt beast.
BMW Motorrad showcased its wild side by with the world premiere of the BMW Concept Stunt G 310. “You have to achieve the ideal balance between aggressiveness and control”, explains Chris Pfeiffer.
Compact proportions, highest-level agility.
BMW has just done its usual trick of unveiling a future production model as a concept, this time the “Concept Stunt G 310” seen above. This permits optimum placement of the engine and a short wheelbase in spite of the long swinging arm. This allows for a vertically positioned rear silencer under the seat, between the engine and the spring strut. In this way, the silencer is optimally protected and does not limit the stunt rider’s freedom of movement. Mind you, BMW cautions that even if you don’t see it, the exhaust system is there and you can certainly hear it. Also, the edgy design language indicates the fact the new TVS-BMW motorcycle will be targeted at youngsters.
Speaking about the bike’s design characteristics, BMW says the idea was to keep the bike nimble and at the same time the managing to centre the mass around the bike’s engine block. The body panels are contoured in such a way that they generate a sense of flowing towards the front, thereby creating a sense of speed, even when the bike is stationary.
The BMW Concept Stunt G 310 sports plenty of angular bodywork and aggressive lines.
Being a concept, it comes with extensive stunt modifications.
The silhouette of the bike is arrived at by the low-slung front and the raised tail section. It has a lockable throttle to ensure the bike accelerates even though the throttle grip has been let go. The motorcycle’s gear ratios have been designed specifically to provide enough propulsion at low engine speeds. A second, even larger rear wheel brake allows the rider to brake the rear wheel using only his middle finger, in case his right foot is not on the footrest in certain stunts. The distinctive red crash bars provide additional protection for the engine.
The Concept Stunt G 310 uses a newly developed single-cylinder DOHC engine which is unconventionally inclined towards the rear of the motorcycle. In addition to that, it features a custom-designed “stunt tail” fashioned from aluminium – it has an opening in the centre for stunt riders to hold their foot in.
Additionally, the motorcycle gets a non-slip seat, which ensures a stable seating position when riding.
Modern colour and material design. A striking sight to behold with its white colour base, covered in red, blue, neon green and a Brazilian flag on the sides along with a pair of multicoloured wheels to match.
