Tweet lands RB Taylor at Chiefs camp
Taylor squeaked a 12-minute highlight reel of himself to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. As a running back, Taylor racked up almost 2,000 rushing yards in 12 games last season.
A free agent running back from the University of Central Missouri, Taylor sent out tweets to several professional football organizations, simply asking them to take a look as his highlight reel.
The Chiefs through OTAs and mandatory minicamp designated Thomas as a running back/wide receiver on rosters distributed to media, and listed him with the running backs despite Thomas working exclusively with the wide receivers. On Thursday, Taylor was contemplating his future, thinking about where to apply for jobs – he had interviewed with a food service company “a cool little job, nice benefits” – and was about to close his eyes when it got a call from his agent. Saturday we’ll see Taylor and Charles on the same Training Camp field.
Taylor, a life-long Chiefs fan, grew up in Kansas City and attended Raytown High School.

“My favorite Chief? It’s still Jamaal, I can’t lie”, Taylor said. “This is humbling and has been a blessing experience”.
Taylor recently spent time in the Canadian Football League with the Ottawa Redblacks.
“When it didn’t work out in Canada, it kind of made me hungrier”, Taylor explained, “because I knew I belonged there. The worst they could say is no or not reply.'”. “It’s going to be surreal moment. I know it’s going to be a challenge, I’m ready for it, that’s what comes along with being in the NFL”.
