‘Twilight’ restricted Robert Pattinson
The star is featured on the cover of this week’s NME, and candidly discusses some of the seedier sides of fame, including unwanted intrusions on his privacy, the danger of Googling himself, and the forced public appearances.
“I’ve never wanted anyone to hear what I’m saying, because it’s probably stupid”, he admits.
The 29-year-old actor said that people used to sit outside his house everyday, which used to drive him insane, reports Us magazine. Pattinson offers to share one of his hardships, which was not being able to go to a grocery store for about six-years. “Then I’ll fall back into this pit”, he says. It really does affect you, and it all comes from some moron sitting on a comment board. But now I can go in and chat to the guy who’s working there about his kids, or where he’s going on holiday, and not be thinking, ‘Is he gonna sell me out?’ “It’s always that person who’s needling away at you, who you either want to destroy, or convince them to love you”. The site added that the Edward Cullen actor admitted to going to remote places for his vacations so he wouldn’t be photographed when he goes topless with his “gut” on full display. He’s now dating musician FKA Twigs.
In the new issue of NME, RPattz gets real about what privacy is like for him these days, how he feels about paparazzi photos and looks back on his sobriety levels during a time when he was at almost every single award show known to man kind.
She then explained, “I think it all started when I stopped listening to others and I decided to take a break from the big Hollywood productions to focus on films for which I earn less but that I believe will repay me later on instead”.
