Twitter CEO gets his own account suspended
Dorsey’s account was restored about half hour later, and at 9:15 p.m. EST, he had around 200 followers.
It is not only the common users of Twitter who get shocking messages of suspended accounts, but this it’s Twitter cofounder and CEO Jack Dorsey himself. He added that the ban was an “internal mistake“, without commenting further. Several users associated with the group celebrated the suspension of Dorsey’s account on Tuesday, noted Gizmodo. When it initially came back online, he had zero followers; this number has since returned to 3.82 million.
The boss of Twitter has had his own account on the social network briefly suspended.
Under Twitter’s terms, accounts can be suspended if they’re found to be spam or in violation of Twitter’s community standards.
It’s been a bumpy, well, existence for Twitter but it’s been particularly more bumpy this past year. Twitter also suspends accounts that have been compromised or hacked.
In an apparent faux pas, Twitter has suspended the account of its CEO Jack Dorsey temporarily.
While it’s not clear what exactly happened, Dorsey chalked it up to an “internal mistake”.
Around 6pm SAST on Monday, tweeters discovered that the famous @Jack Twitter account was no longer active.
According to CNN, Dorsey may have been the victim of what so many Twitter users have faced in the past.
Though Dorsey pointed the near-15-minute suspension to “an internal mistake”, most followers regarded this short malfunction amusing and ironic.
