Twitter user @Ivanka responds to Trump after misdirected tweet
WOMAN mistakenly mentioned on Twitter by Donald Trump has responded to the incoming U.S. president by saying he should take more care on the social media platform – and maybe spend a little more time learning about climate change. Considering it is CNN, can’t imagine it will be great!’ he fired off to his followers at 8:49pm.
Majic, who has previously worked for the UK’s Labour Party, said it was only when her husband texted her that she discovered Trump had mentioned her in a tweet.
But instead of tagging the 35-year-old businesswoman, he posted the Twitter handle of Ivanka Majic, from the south-east of England.
Majic’s tweet has since been retweeted 1,471 times and favorited 4,373 times.
Unbeknownst to Donald Trump, the woman he tweeted at was not his daughter. Just four days away from taking his official oath, the President-elect still has so much to learn-including a lesson on his favorite social media platform, Twitter. These reports emerged hours after the President-elect announced that Jared Kushner would take on the important job of senior advisor to the incoming Republican President.
“Fame at last!” she tweeted, assuring that she is prepared for the onslaught of attention that is sure to accompany Trump’s tweet.
There are two things to note about tweet, both of which say a bit about his personality.
Ms Majic replied on Tuesday morning with a graphic attacking Mr Trump’s position in climate change, showing the miniscule number of American scientists who oppose the concept of human-induced global warming.
“Too many Twitter notifications meant for Ivanka Trump rather than me”.
Majic said she treated the attention with caution, and usually turns her her phone off overnight.
