Two arrested after drug seizure in Dublin
A few 100kg of cannabis (street value €600,000) and over 40 thousand prescription drugs were discivered and seized.
The value of the prescription drugs is hard to determine before testing is carried out.
Two men, in their 30s, were arrested and are being held at Finglas Garda Station.
Cocaine and ecstasy were found by Gardai when they searched two houses this afternoon.
A quantity of Zopiclone – a muscle relaxant – was also discovered.
A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Irishtown Garda Station where he is being detailed under the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
During searches of a number of houses in the area Gardaí seized cocaine worth €500,000, ecstasy worth €5,000, and sleeping tablets worth €220,000.
