Two Arrested in Connection to Shooting at Jamar Clark Protests

Minneapolis police say they have arrested a 23-year-old man in the overnight shootings of five Black Lives Matters protesters.
It’s still unknown whether Jamar Clark was in handcuffs when he was shot.

“We are sparing no efforts to bring any and all those responsible to justice”, Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges said on social media.
It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack.
Dana Jaehnert, another demonstrator, told the Star Tribune that one of the three men wore a mask.
Large-scale demonstrations were held across the country in 2014 after a series of high-profile incidents of white police officers killing unarmed African-American men, including Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri; Tamir Rice in Cleveland, OH; Eric Garner in Staten Island, NY and Walter Scott in North Charleston, South Carolina.

A source told KSTP there were three men who wearing bulletproof vests. Witnesses described the alleged shooters as white, but there was no hard information to support a conclusion that seemed obvious to the protesters and their allies.

Wesley Martin was among those shot. He said his 19-year-old brother Teven King was also shot, in the stomach. “Like I said, maybe about a minute after that, that’s when the shot went off”, he said.
