Two IS suspects detained at Istanbul airport
Turkish authorities have detained at least 24 people in raids in several Istanbul neighborhoods over possible connections to the attack.
Two suspected Islamic State operatives are reported to have been detained at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, the scene of last week’s deadly triple suicide bombing and gun attack. Officials say 239 people were injured, with 41 still in intensive care.

The CIA and White House declined to comment on McCaul’s assertion and officials said the investigation of the bombing is still ongoing.
Chataev was assigned a leading role in training extremists that would then commit terrorist attacks in both Russia and Western Europe, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Andrey Przhezdomsky said, adding that, in Syria, Chataev also commands a unit consisting “primarily of immigrants from the North Caucasus”.
On Saturday, a US Congressman said the Chechen Akhmed Chatayev was suspected of having planned the attacks.
