Two Kids Die in Boat Capsize in Kenya
Two people have been confirmed dead after two boats collided at Remba Island on Lake Victoria last night.
Mr Lugusa said the officials that reports were indicated by the boat were carrying 200 people at the time of collision, but later it emerged around 23 passengers in the board.
Nyanza Regional Police Commander Willy Lugusa said they had recovered two bodies of children and that most of the victims were rescued by fishermen. Kenyan newspaper the Daily Nation said 21 people were rescued by fishermen.
Though the exact cause of the accident remains unknown, it is believed that the passenger boat came into contact with a stationary fishing boat which caused it to go under.
