Two men accused of trying to kill parents at Snellville home
It was shocking enough already, but it was even more surprising when the woman revealed that it was her sons that were trying to kill them.
Police arrived at the Forbes Trail home moments later and caught Cameron Ervin, 17, and Christopher Ervin, 22, at the scene, Long told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She told the operator that the sons were trying to kill her and the husband.
A Georgia mother called 911 early Saturday morning and told the dispatcher her sons were trying to kill her and her husband.
Then the call went silent.
“She stated that her husband was distracting them so she was able to call for help”, Long said in an email.
Zachary Ervin, their father, was “severely injured and bleeding heavily”, and his wife was “seriously injured”, Long said.
Gwinnett County police says officers found Zachary and one of the sons outside the home. Both were taken to the hospital. The Gwinnett County Fire Department was brought in to check the residence for safety.
Police arrested the sons and immediately rendered aid to the parents.
Police said the two suspects were cooperative and that they were moved to the Gwinnett County Detention Center with numerous charges pending.
Police say two brothers are accused of attempting to kill their parents, beating them both in a suburban Atlanta home. They have been identified as 22-year-old Christopher Ervin and 17-year-old Cameron Ervin.
Neighbors in the area say they can’t believe what happened because this was a model family. A preliminary hearing is set for September 11 for the boys from Snellville, Georgia, and the parents are expected to survive and make a recovery.
